I’m the bloke behind siliceous ooze photography. Name’s Martynas. I first started shooting a couple years back with a Sony compact and have since fallen for digital photography.
I use the camera as a tool, that enables people to see the world through my prism. A prism showing the primal beauty that has reigned over planet Earth for eons.
Have you ever experienced what a February sunrise over Howe Sound in Western Canada feels like? Or did you ever notice that summer evenings bloom in subtle shades of green after last rays of sunfade beyond the horizon? An occasional venture away from civilization empowers my pictures with tranquility. Additionally, it allows me to capture minimalistic compositions that highlight subtle details, embedded in the natural world around us. So let your hair down and stare at the horizon for a minute or two.
